The pitbull breed is a breed in which several people love, yet it is also one of the most hated breed of dogs that is out there. Those that have seen attacks on television are often going to find that these are pitbull attacks. However, that does not mean that a person should not consider getting a blue nose pitbull. When considering a pitbull, whether this is a blue nose pitbull or not, it is all in how a person raises the dog that will determine just how well the dog reacts to those that are passing by the home or even how the dog acts with those that are in the home. This is where properly socializing your dog is essential to the health and wellbeing of those that are in the home, as well as the blue nose pitbull that you have in your home.
Properly socializing pitbulls is a requirement in order to get a dog that is well rounded and will not have a problem with other people. Those that have done this and they do this properly have found that it cuts down on the number of temper issues that the dog has. By nature, the blue nose pitbull is going to be aggressive and dominant. It is up to the owner to ensure that the dog is not going to be this way towards others through showing the dog that there is no threat.
So where should someone start in order to socialize their dog? The idea is to start small at first. Introduce the dog to a few neighborhood dogs that are in the dog park in your community and let them play together. If the dog sees that there is nothing to fear, then they are not going to be as hostile towards the dog as they would normally be. This can greatly reduce the chances of any problems related to the pit bull acting aggressively or even attacking neighborhood dogs. Once you have worked with the dog and their approach to other dogs, then the person is going to want to acclimate the dog to people. The ideal situation would be to take your dog to a place in which people are aware that this is what you are doing. One option is to take your dog to obedience school whether there are people and dogs that can be helpful in getting your dog to the point in which you do not have to worry about the dog attacking people.
No matter how you decide to socialize your dog, you need to realize just how important this is and ensure that you are doing this. Statically speaking, those pitbulls that have not been socialized are at increased chances of biting someone or attacking other dogs. This is not a situation in which you want to find yourself in, as the person or dog that is attacked has full legal rights to have your dog put down. No one wants to see their dog end up in this position as it is like losing a member of the family. It can be avoided though, through proper socialization.
